Capstone
A large, flat stone that lies on top of a dolmen.

Crannóg
A man made island in a river or lake with houses built on it.

Dolmen
A tomb made of upright stones.

Derbhfine
The Celtic royal family.

Druid
A celtic priest, and important member of the Aos Dana.

Fulacht Fiadh
A method of cooking used in the bronze age and iron age, large stones were first heated in a fire then placed in a trough of water and then meat wrapped in straw was placed in the water to cook.

Hunter gatherers
People who get food by hunting animals and gathering nuts and berries.

Lunala
A moon shaped necklace made during the Bronze Age in Ireland.

Mesolithic
A period when hunter-gatherers used simple stone tools.

Neolithic
A period when farmers of the New Stone Age had better stone tool.

Ogham
The earliest form of writing used in Ireland.

Ogham Stone
large standing stones with lines carved along the sides. These lines represent words written in the ogham alphabet.
