(ii)       What measures were taken during the 1840s to help victims of the Famine in Ireland? (4)

C. “The Industrial Revolution in Britain had a major impact on people’s lives.” In the light of
the above statement, write an account of the effects of the Industrial Revolution on one of the following aspects of everyday life in Britain.

(a)        Housing and diet
(b)       Health and leisure activities.
